Vrlinic closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Vrlinic lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McGregor backs up against the cage.
McGregor throws an overhand right that lands on Vrlinic's shoulder, as Vrlinic tries to avoid the shot.
Vrlinic looks to land a combination but McGregor avoids it well.
McGregor jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
McGregor defending well as Vrlinic loads up on a big left hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vrlinic is defended easily by McGregor.
It looked like McGregor wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McGregor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vrlinic misses with an uppercut
and McGregor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from McGregor! Vrlinic is out on his feet! McGregor rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Vrlinic is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Vrlinic is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The ground and pound from Pope seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pope. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pope seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pope creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jackson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Smith lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Melendez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Melendez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

It looks like Giblert Melendez has been cut.
Smith lands a high kick!
Smith paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Smith lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Melendez crumples to the floor! Smith milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
