The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Khashukaev.
Kaladze is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Khashukaev's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kaladze tries to get to full guard but Khashukaev has control of the leg.
Khashukaev landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kaladze wants to improve his position but Khashukaev is controlling well.
Khashukaev working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Khashukaev lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaladze wants to improve his position but Khashukaev is controlling well.
Khashukaev lands a big elbow - Kaladze is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Khashukaev!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kantemir Khashukaev!
A very excited looking Kantemir Khashukaev rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Slider has Castle pressed against the cage. He pushes Castle back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Slider throws a beautiful elbow that sends Castle crashing to the floor! Slider piles on the pressure with more strikes! Castle is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Lermantov drops back, looking for a kneebar! McAdams looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McAdams looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McAdams!

It looks like Kissell has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Zal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kissell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zal scrambles back to his feet.

and Kissell counters with a body kick that stops Zal in his tracks momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zal has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kissell.

Kissell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zal avoids it really well and circles away.
Zal throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kissell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zal's waist but Zal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kissell off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyman Kissell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kissell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zal looks to land a combination but Kissell avoids it well.

Miller looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Miller backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Sleed's temple! It sends Sleed violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Miller celebrates and the doctors try to help Sleed!
