Noam Nystrom decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.

Walker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jones is trying to control Walker's posture but Walker avoids it.
Jones is not content to let Walker control the position.
Jones is working to avoid the ground and pound but Walker connects with a decent elbow.
Jones wants to control but Walker postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.

God lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

MacLeod drops down looking to force a counter takedown but God defends it well.
God seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

God throws a hook but MacLeod avoids it easily.

God pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

God lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
God fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt MacLeod.

Larsson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Larsson throws a jab but it's blocked by Tarasov.

Larsson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tarasov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Tarasov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tarasov passes Larsson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tarasov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
