Ortega lands a big uppercut and McGregor crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McGregor looks OK. Ortega waves McGregor back to his feet!
Ortega cracks McGregor with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends McGregor tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ortega pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! McGregor is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a head kick that half lands.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bielski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith misses with a low kick as Bielski jumps back.
Bielski lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

I was talking to Bielski's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard.

Jackson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Opposite to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jackson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Opposite pulls down on the head and he's put Jackson to sleep! This one is all over!
