The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedotov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guapo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fedotov.

Fedotov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guapo's guard.
Fedotov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guapo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Guapo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Herugrim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Slider swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Phillips.

Phillips ducks right into an uppercut from Slider.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schwartz.

Schwartz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cherry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cherry is trying to control Schwartz's posture but Schwartz avoids it.
Schwartz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Schwartz tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cherry's legs.

Schwartz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cherry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Schwartz goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cherry rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Schwartz's guard! Nice work there by Cherry!

Cherry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Schwartz looking for a guillotine here but Cherry defends easily.
Cherry pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schwartz is keeping the position for now.

Cherry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cherry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cherry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Schwartz has a closed guard, preventing Cherry from standing up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Schwartz takes one to the chin there.

Cherry scores a takedown into full mount!
Schwartz is breathing heavily.
Schwartz tries to reverse the position but Cherry maintains control.
Schwartz avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cherry.

Cherry gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Schwartz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cherry counters with a one-two to the body.
Cherry drops Schwartz with a left right combo! Cherry follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Johann Schwartz has been cut.

Cherry working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Oh Schwartz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Schwartz is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Schwartz seems to have got his legs back now.
Schwartz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Cherry has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Schwartz works to full guard.

Schwartz working for a triangle but Cherry defends it easily.
Schwartz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cherry is one step ahead there.
Schwartz throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Schwartz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cherry is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Schwartz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cherry's back instead.

Cherry is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Schwartz gets his way!

Schwartz sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Cherry taps out!
