The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erasmus throws a leg kick but Killer moved away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Killer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Killer drops Erasmus with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Erasmus looks back up at him and smiles so Killer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Rasputin Erasmus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Erasmus takes a swing at Killer's ribcage but misses.
Erasmus dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Killer. That did some damage!

Killer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Erasmus to the mat! Erasmus manages to get full guard.

Killer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Erasmus is on top in guard.

Killer manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Killer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Jeez, Rasputin Erasmus's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Erasmus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
