Crank moves away from the strike by Svenson.
Svenson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Svenson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crank was well out of range. Poor timing from Svenson.
Crank keeps the fight on the outside.
Svenson wants to clinch
and Crank decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Svenson's guard.
Svenson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crank is nestled in close to Svenson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crank looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Svenson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Crank winds up and cracks Svenson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've been hearing good reports from Crank's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Svenson wants to control but Crank is keeping busy.
Crank lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Svenson quite badly. Svenson pulls Crank in close trying to recover. Crank postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Svenson on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Svenson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
