I think Thompson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Boys Are Back by Dropkick Murphys. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Darren works over Thompson's head and body with a nice combination.
Darren lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Darren swings for the body but Thompson moves out of range.
Thompson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Thompson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Buro.
Hogan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Buro's head backwards.
Buro lands the left hand.
Hogan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hogan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Buro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hogan manages to avoid it.
Buro paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Buro lands a jab to Hogan's midsection.
Buro avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Buro! But no joy.
Hogan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hogan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Buro counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Buro lands a lovely overhand right.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hogan misses with an uppercut.
It seemed like Buro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Buro throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boe Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Buro is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Buro thuds a left hand into Hogan's body.

Buro scores with a nice strike.
Hogan ducks right into an uppercut from Buro.
Hogan throws a big shot that misses.
Hogan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Buro has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Buro lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hogan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Buro has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Buro and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Buro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hogan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hogan trying to control but Buro is working from the bottom.

Buro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hogan is aware though and is defending well.
Buro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Buro has his feet on Hogan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hogan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Buro counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hogan feints and then cracks Buro's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Buro down.
Buro tests Hogan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Buro lands a nice shot that snaps Hogan's head back.
Buro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hogan takes one to the side of the head.
Brain Buro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hogan throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Buro.
Hogan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hogan fails with an attempt to clinch.
It seemed like Buro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hogan throws a leg kick but Buro checks it.
Hogan lands a high kick!
Hogan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Buro doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Buro lands a really nice looking cross but Hogan seems unphased.

Hogan moves into the clinch.
Hogan lands a shoulder strike.

Buro is rocked!
Hogan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Buro backwards.
Buro is still on wobbly legs! Can Hogan finish him?
Hogan unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Buro! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Hogan is unloading with more strikes now! Buro drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boe Hogan!
An out of breath Boe Hogan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
