The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevil jabs at Mouse's body.
Nevil dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nevil lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Stuart Mouse has been cut.
Nevil closes the distance and clinches.
Nevil lands with a left to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Nevil.
Nevil lands a left hand.
Mouse fails to pull guard.
Mouse jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nevil walks away with a smile on his face. Mouse gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The crowd cheers as Nevil lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mouse doesn't seem phased though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mauler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alessio is trying to defend but Mauler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Alessio pushes Mauler off looking to stand but Mauler dives back in and keeps control.

Mauler is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alessio defends it well.
Mauler is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mauler uses his free foot to push down on Alessio's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alessio.

Alessio is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mauler wants to finish this one by submission but Alessio is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mauler.

Mauler with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Mauler is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alessio to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alessio shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alessio tries to lock up and control but Mauler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alessio sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Alessio is controlling Mauler's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Mauler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alessio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mauler.

Mauler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alessio is just riding it out for now. Mauler eventually gives up the hold.

Mauler is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Alessio keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Mauler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alessio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alessio is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Demo Mauler dominated that round.
That's time! Mauler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mauler dives in for a single leg takedown but Alessio sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Demo Mauler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mauler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alessio as he avoids it easily.

Mauler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mauler shoots in for a takedown but Alessio shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd cheers as Mauler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Alessio doesn't seem phased though.

Alessio tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Mauler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Alessio defends well and Mauler ends up having to push Alessio into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

It looked like Mauler was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Alessio tightens his grip and picks Mauler up, before dumping him to the ground. Mauler manages to land in guard.

Mauler has his feet on Alessio's thighs here. He's pushed Alessio off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Alessio screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
