That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Talbert will probably get the nod.

With a record of 15 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kostas Mytilinaios!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiji Mutou!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Mytilinaios.
Mutou changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Mutou steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mytilinaios.
Mytilinaios misses with a looping left.
And Mutou tries to counter it with a takedown but Mytilinaios pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mytilinaios looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mutou dives in and grabs Mytilinaios's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mytilinaios pushes down on Mutou's head and hops out.

Mytilinaios is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mutou is just riding it out for now. Mytilinaios eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Kostas Mytilinaios will probably get the nod.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Mutou is nestled in close to Mytilinaios, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mutou has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
