The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasa misses with a wild body shot.

Kyronviita changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vasa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lefleaur comes to the cage accompanied by La Marseillaise. Jeantet is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Forever The Sickest Kids - She's A Lady. Gordon Lefleaur had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Gordon Lefleaur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Horrible takedown by Henson or perhaps it was just good defense by Ject which made him look bad.
Henson looks gassed!
Henson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ject moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ject lands with a hook. Henson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ject is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Mickey Henson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Ject connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ject misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Henson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ject lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Henson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ject is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ject lands a right hook to the body.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ject lands a left and a right that send Henson crashing to the mat, dazed. Ject thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Henson is rocked!
Henson looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ject lands a right hand from hell, dropping Henson. Ject pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
