The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gardner lands a nice looking kick to the body. Crespo takes a step back to recover.

Gardner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crespo sprawls well initially but Gardner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gardner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Crespo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gardner has Crespo in his guard.

Vargas gets to his feet and stands over Newsto, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Newsto felt that one! Vargas unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Newsto from any more punishment!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Yung! Glavas is out on his feet! Yung rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Glavas is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Glavas is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

A relieved looking David Yung thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
