The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega cracks Barnes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ortega lands the left hand.

It looks like Brayden Barnes has been cut.

I was talking to Ortega's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Barnes wants a takedown but no success here.
Ortega lands a left hand.
Barnes tries to throw a body punch but Ortega avoids it by throwing Barnes back against the cage.

Ortega drops Barnes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Barnes looks back up at him and smiles so Ortega waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and Ortega counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

After the fight, Carlos Ortega was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Johanessburgson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Banger on his heels. He'll look to pass Banger's guard now, I'm sure.
