The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from HAWK finds it's way through Shinobi's defenses.
HAWK lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shinobi circles away quickly and effectively.
HAWK throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
HAWK is looking to clinch.
Shinobi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? HAWK is fending him off so far but Shinobi persists. Nope, HAWK circles away and we're back to standing.
Shinobi moves out of range of the leg kick from HAWK.
Shinobi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from HAWK.

It looks like Padrone Shinobi has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
HAWK throws the kick towards the body but Shinobi avoids it.
Nice straight punches there by HAWK. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of HAWK.

Shinobi is rocked!
HAWK looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shinobi slips a jab and a cross from HAWK.
HAWK tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shinobi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shinobi shoots for a double leg takedown but HAWK sprawls well. He's pushed Shinobi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by Shinobi or perhaps it was just good defense by HAWK which made him look bad.
MIKE HAWK has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Padrone Shinobi.
A slapping leg kick lands for HAWK.
Nice takedown defense from HAWK. No joy for Shinobi on that attempt.

Shinobi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
HAWK throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
HAWK lands a right hook to the body.
Shinobi looks gassed!
Shinobi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by HAWK.
HAWK scores with the left hand. Shinobi knows he should have avoided that one.
Shinobi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
HAWK misses with a two punch combination.
HAWK tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shinobi was well out of range. Poor timing from HAWK.

HAWK drops Shinobi with a beautiful combination! Shinobi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - HAWK is looking for the KO!
Shinobi is still on wobbly legs! Can HAWK finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
HAWK throws an uppercut from hell that sends Shinobi clean off his feet! He's out cold! HAWK stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
