A punch lands to the side of Perez 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The fight stays on the outside here - Perez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A little feinted left hand from McGuire on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Perez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McGuire counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We've been told by McGuire's head coaches at Rusterman's that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A relieved looking BJ Arnold thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Serge Ibaka had this to say: 'This is tough to take, but I still feel I can get to the top of this division. In the meantime I want to get back in there, Jandre Vorster how about we go again?'.
