And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucien Paol!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mubarak fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paol, pushing him back against the ropes.
Paol has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mubarak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Paol is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Mubarak can't fight it off and eventually Paol manages to take the fight to the floor. Mubarak looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Paol thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Paol drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Paol jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Paol won't allow Mubarak to sweep him here.

Paol is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Paol has gone for a leg lock! Mubarak slips out almost immediately though and dives into Paol's guard.

Mubarak might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Paol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mubarak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mubarak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Mubarak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Paol looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Paol escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mubarak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mubarak is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Paol has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mubarak is looking to defend but Paol has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mubarak! Paol pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mubarak taps out and this one is all over!

Arthur fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Arthur on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson misses with a double jab.
Arthur shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A jab lands there for Johnson .
Arthur changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Arthur manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Servant Arthur. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson lands a left and a right that send Arthur crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Arthur is rocked!

It looks like Servant Arthur has been cut.
Arthur fails with the takedown
and Johnson rattles Arthur with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Arthur tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Johnson dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Arthur stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dwayne Johnson !
A very excited looking Dwayne Johnson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wo Kung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wo Kung struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Kung is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Silva screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Muhammad cracks Aleksanyan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Aleksanyan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Muhammad finish him?

Abraham Muhammad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Muhammad lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Aleksanyan up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Muhammad from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Aleksanyan's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
