The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shakur.
Shakur misses with a hook
and Lanke counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Lanke has a takedown stuffed.
Lanke staying out of range there.
Lanke appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Lanke could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lanke has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shakur finds it's way round the side to connect with Lanke's head.
Lanke goes for a double leg but Shakur avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shakur continues to drive forward.
A nice side step and Shakur releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Shakur connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Shakur ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lanke moves away.
Lanke went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Lanke takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Shakur scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lanke doesn't seem bothered though.

Oh Lanke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shakur sends Lanke crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shakur is motioning to the referee to let Lanke up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Shakur cracks Lanke with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lanke tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Shakur pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lanke is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Downgrade lands a nice shot that snaps Hebert's head back.

Let's hope that Hebert has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Downgrade wants to stand and escape but Hebert is having none of it.
