The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lattimore manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lattimore defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zulu.
Zulu is looking to clinch but Lattimore is avoiding it.
Lattimore appears to be looking for a big counter.
Zulu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zulu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zulu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lattimore paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Lattimore counters with a three punch combo that has Zulu backing up. Zulu nods at Lattimore to acknowledge the strikes.
Lattimore shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zulu but Zulu pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zulu is defended easily by Lattimore.
It looked like Lattimore was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Some bone on bone action there as Lattimore checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Lattimore drives through and clinches with Zulu against the cage.
Lattimore goes for a takedown in the clinch but Zulu prevents it.
Zulu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lattimore is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Zulu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lattimore tries to pull guard but Zulu holds him up against the cage and eventually Lattimore drops back down to his feet.
Lattimore will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Zulu up against the cage.
