Filippo Di Vaio had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Doom has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kermode is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Kermode closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Doom throws an elbow but misses.
Kermode throws a head punch that misses.
Kermode lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Doom gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Kermode stuns Doom with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Doom does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kermode throws a right and a left that both miss.

Doom gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Kermode counters with a good low kick that Doom was not able to check.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kermode crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Doom - the referee stops the clock and Kermode gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Doom. Kermode manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mayo Kermode seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doom has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kermode.
