Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Andenowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Vega told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steven Vega!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andenowski lands a jab-cross combination.
Andenowski is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Andenowski's corner calls for a 1-2. Andenowski obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Andenowski jabs Vega to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Vega is looking to clinch.
Vega fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vega doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Andenowski moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Vega is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As Vega tries to get set, Andenowski tries to push him back and clinch up but Vega manages to avoid the attempt.
Vega tries to clinch but Andenowski is having none of it.
Andenowski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Andenowski ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Vega takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Andenowski is looking to wear down Vega with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Vega tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andenowski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vega takes the fight into the clinch.
Andenowski swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Andenowski misses with a short punch on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Andenowski lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vega backwards.
Vega tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vega is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Andenowski lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Vega is trying to pull guard but Andenowski turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Vega jumps guard and drags Andenowski to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Vega is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Andenowski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Vega is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Andenowski has his hands clasped together but Vega extends and breaks Andenowski's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vega.
