Kato Masaishii told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Masaishii dives in for a single leg takedown but Lapu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Masaishii has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Lapu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Justin Hunter was interviewed post fight and said 'This man is so lucky in his victories so far, it is unbelievable! What's he got?!? A couple of fluke victories won't make him the best in this Org! He will go down with the rest of them. I'm still the lightweight champion of the Duels.'.
