Railgun looks for a takedown but Mordino sprawls well.
Mordino changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Railgun closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Railgun lands in his opponent's guard.
Mordino can't keep his opponent in guard - Railgun advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Railgun postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mordino is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Railgun, into his guard.

Mordino has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Railgun to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mordino is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Railgun pulls down on the head and he's put Mordino to sleep! This one is all over!

Jogan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bylunds jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bylund lands a big right hook! Jogan looks hurt but is still standing! Bylund lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Jogan falls down and Bylund dives in with a huge hammer fist! Jogan's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Bylund runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laponov walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dodson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Laponov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dodson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dodson cracks Laponov with a good jab.
Laponov misses with a takedown attempt
and Dodson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dodson misses with a hook.
Laponov throws a hook but Dodson avoids it easily.
Dodson throws the left hand but Laponov avoids the punch easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dodson cracks Laponov with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Laponov tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dodson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Laponov is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Hooper has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Strife swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Strife throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hoopers head.
Strife lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Strife tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hooper's elbow.
Hooper goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Strife presses Hooper against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Strife lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hooper or not.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hooper walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Hooper limp body while Strife jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
