The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bum ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Elpidio slips under a jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Elpidio misses the target.
Elpidio with a body punch. A glancing blow.
No joy there for Elpidio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Elpidio cracks Bum with a good jab.
Bum thows a left - swing and a miss!
Elpidio dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Elpidio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bum lands a nice shot to the body.
Elpidio drops his hands momentarily and Bum takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bum tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Elpidio swivels and escapes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Elpidio ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Oooooh!!! Elpidio has knocked Bum down with a huge combo! Elpidio steps away and waves a wobbly Bum back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Beach Bum has been cut.

Bum feints and as Elpidio raises his hands in defense, Bum changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Oh Bum is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bum drops his hands momentarily. Elpidio doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Bum staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Bum doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edwin Elpidio!
After winning the bout, Edwin Elpidio thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
