Shui throws an overhand right that lands on Tipton's shoulder, as Tipton tries to avoid the shot.

Shui fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tipton manages to avoid it.
Shui defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tipton.
Shui throws the left hand but Tipton avoids the punch easily.

Tipton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shui has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tipton has managed to get both his arms back between Shui's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Shui lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shui lands a big uppercut and Tipton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Tipton looks OK. Shui waves Tipton back to his feet!

Lin Shui decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Day shoots in for a takedown but Griffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Day lands with a right hand.
Day lands a nice shot to the body.
Day looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Day checks a leg kick nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Day or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin, which made it look bad.

and Griffin counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Griffin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Griffin is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Day knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Day for a finish.
You can see the frustration on Day's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Day working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Griffin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Day throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Griffin escapes and throws Day's legs to the side, diving into side control!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Griffin working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Gonzalez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gonzalez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gonzalez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and The Dane has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from The Dane and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
