The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams closes the distance and pushes Smith back into the cage.

Adams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adams has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.

Adams drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Adams off! Adams jumps back into Smith's guard.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Zero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ignacio is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Zero throws a sloppy head kick and Ignacio moves out of range easily.
Zero is looking to land body kicks.
Zero with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ignacio to score with a decent uppercut.
Ignacio throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zero lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Ignacio lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ignacio throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jaei Zero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zero throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ignacio fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Zero on the side of the head.

Ignacio cracks Zero with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ignacio has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Zero to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ignacio scores with the left hand. Zero knows he should have avoided that one.

Ignacio connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Zero covering up! Ignacio comes in with a big uppercut and Zero goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

After the fight, Reyanne Ignacio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Jaei Zero stepped up to the mic, saying 'fuck you all'.

Cartel Lopez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Conor McGregor had this to say: 'The opponent was the better fighter and the win backs that up. All I gotta do is come back stronger and get that 'W' '.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Wang Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Studge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wang Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Gucci Snakes. James Wang Jr had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
