The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Leo enables Conor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Leo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Conor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lopez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reseke walks away with a smile on his face. Lopez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Reseke counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Lopez fails with a takedown attempt.

Lopez gets a clinch.
Reseke is trying to break the clinch but Lopez is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reseke is looking to break free of the clinch but Lopez has double underhooks.
Reseke wants to break free but Lopez has control.
Reseke has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Lopez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reseke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lopez.
The crowd cheers as Lopez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reseke doesn't seem phased though.

Lopez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
