The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr is trying hard to land a takedown here. John sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kerr or perhaps it was just good defense by John, which made it look bad.
John tries to close the distance and clinch but Kerr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kerr drops down looking to force a counter takedown but John defends it well.

Kerr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into John's guard.
Kerr controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kerr trying to control the position from guard on top but John is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Aldo circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mozapa to the canvas! Mozapa doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Aldo keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Gustavo Aldo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
