He only made it down to 136.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Bushido Brown spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dub throws a half hearted mid kick.
Benderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dub circles away quickly and effectively.
Dub goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sloppy strikes from Dub. Those never looked like landing.
A cross from Benderson lands.
Dub throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dub throws a right and a left that Benderson avoids nicely.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Benderson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dub - the referee stops the clock and Benderson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dub. Benderson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Benderson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Westside Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.
Benderson feints and then cracks Dub's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dub down.

With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Butch Steel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Steel tenderised Jesus's leg. Jesus is trying to keep his angry face on.
A nice leg kick lands there from Steel.
Jesus thuds a left hand into Steel's body.
Jesus tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Steel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jesus.
Steel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steel moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jesus misses with a looping right.
Steel was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Jesus stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Steel.
Jesus takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Steel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jesus or perhaps it was just good defense by Steel, which made it look bad.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jesus misses with an uppercut. Steel saw that one coming.
Jesus throws out a loose jab but Steel uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel connects with a solid leg kick.
Jesus throws the left hand but Steel avoids the punch easily.
Jesus has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Westside Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.
Jesus is looking to clinch but Steel is avoiding it.
Jesus waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Steel.
Jesus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steel as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nofurgay Jesus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Steel.
Jesus wants to clinch but Steel slips to the side
and Steel counters with a nice uppercut.
We've been informed that Steel has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A solid body kick from Steel.
Jesus takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Jesus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but Jesus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Steel lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jesus's sensitive parts.
Steel throws a sloppy head kick and Jesus moves out of range easily.
Steel tries to clinch there but Jesus circles away.
Jesus seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jesus on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jesus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jesus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Steel can pounce on him.
Good exchange - Steel coming out on top.
Butch Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel lands a big head kick that sends Jesus to the canvas! Steel follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Butch Steel!

Germano misses the shot to the body.
Swanson is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Swanson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Swanson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like John Swanson has been cut.
Germano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Germano comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Swanson drives through with a takedown into Germano's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Swanson is working Germano over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Germano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Swanson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Swanson trying to control the position from guard on top but Germano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Germano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Swanson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Swanson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Swanson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Germano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Swanson has managed to get both his arms back between Germano's legs - danger averted.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Swanson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Swanson passes Germano's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Germano has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Swanson is working away from the top position though.

Germano tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Swanson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Swanson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Germano is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

A less than humble John Swanson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
