Higuchi dives in for a single leg takedown but Souza sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Higuchi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Higuchi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Higuchi throws an elbow but Souza slips to the side and avoids it well.

Higuchi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Souza is trying to escape and Higuchi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Souza is forced to tap! Nice work there by Higuchi! Very nice indeed!
