The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McIntyre tries for a takedown but Spijkers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Spijkers looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
McIntyre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spijkers is fending him off so far but McIntyre persists. Nope, Spijkers circles away and we're back to standing.
McIntyre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spijkers swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom McIntyre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McIntyre tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spijkers defends well and McIntyre ends up having to push Spijkers into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Spijkers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McIntyre looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

McIntyre goes for a double leg but Spijkers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spijkers continues to drive forward.
Spijkers lands a glancing blow to the side of McIntyre's head.

Jamal looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bonyal throws a series of strikes that have Jamal backpedaling.

Bonyal drops Jamal with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jamal looks back up at him and smiles so Bonyal waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Jamal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bonyal knocks out Jamal with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Bonyal before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Bonyal picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Korki Bonyal!
A very excited looking Korki Bonyal rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Correira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diatlov manages to avoid it.
Diatlov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Diatlov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Correira as he jumps to the side.
Correira scores with a hook to the body. Diatlov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Correira throws a lazy right hand but Diatlov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Despite the aggression on Diatlov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Diatlov walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Diatlov limp body while Correira jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Perry is looking to regain half guard here but Ismagilov keeps moving and retains side control.
Ismagilov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Perry is trying to control Ismagilov's posture but Ismagilov avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ismagilov winds up and cracks Perry with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Ismagilov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Perry quite badly. Perry pulls Ismagilov in close trying to recover. Ismagilov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Perry on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Perry doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takagi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Takagi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Takagi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rostov.

Rostov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Takagi misses with a short punch on the inside.
Rostov fails to pull guard.
Rostov lands an elbow just above Takagi 's eye.

Takagi can't find room to land a body shot as Rostov controls the action.

Oh Rostov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takagi lands with a good body shot.

Takagi catches Rostov napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Rostov to the canvas!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rostov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Takagi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Takagi wants to pass the guard but Rostov is keeping the position.
Takagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Rostov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rostov seems to have got his legs back now.
Rostov wants to stand but Takagi is controlling the position.

Rostov working for a triangle but Takagi defends it easily.
Takagi won't allow Rostov to get back to his feet.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rostov tries to strike from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Takagi connects with a jab.
Rostov fails with a takedown attempt.
Takagi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rostov fails with the takedown
and Takagi counters with a huge left! Rostov is in big trouble! He's backing up but Takagi isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rostov from any more damage. A dominating finish by Takagi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Kaladze on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

MacIntyre closes the distance and pushes Kaladze back into the cage.
MacIntyre lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kaladze backwards.
MacIntyre lands with a short shot to the head.
Kaladze has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. MacIntyre is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
MacIntyre gets through Kaladze's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
MacIntyre lands with a short head shot on the inside.

MacIntyre breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

MacIntyre drives through and clinches with Kaladze against the cage.
MacIntyre misses with some punches.
MacIntyre lands a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaladze wants to take the fight to the mat but MacIntyre manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

MacIntyre lands a nice uppercut.
MacIntyre taking a breather.
Still in the clinch, MacIntyre scores with a nice short uppercut.

MacIntyre's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Robert MacIntyre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BAM! MacIntyre delivers a spinning backfist that drops Kaladze like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
