The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamir dives in and grabs Rush's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rush pushes down on Jamir's head and hops out.
Rush fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jamir avoids it really well and circles away.
Rush fails to land the takedown.

Jamir really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

Sixx lands a big uppercut and Navaez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Navaez looks OK. Sixx waves Navaez back to his feet!

It looks like Raimundo Navaez has been cut.
Sixx throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sixx lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Navaez at a distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sixx pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Some wild striking there from Sixx.
Sixx cracks Navaez on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Navaez falls backwards against the cage. Sixx follows up with more strikes that drop Navaez to his knees. Sixx keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Navaez! This one is all over!
