The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deathgrip fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Richards looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Deathgrip shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Richards eats them both and turns towards Deathgrip to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Deathgrip pushes Richards up against the cage in a clinch.

Deathgrip creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Richards with a big uppercut! Richards tries to clinch up but Deathgrip pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Richards to the mat! Richards covers up and Deathgrip unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Our winner, Grim Deathgrip, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Maynard misses with an uppercut. Glass saw that one coming.
Glass ducks under a wild hook from Maynard.
Maynard throws a head kick but Glass moves out of range.
Glass tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Glass throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Maynard counters with a left to the body.

Glass lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Clayton Maynard has been cut.

Clayton Maynard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maynard lands with a right hand.
Glass tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Maynard uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Glass.

Glass shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maynard's guard.

Glass seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Glass is pushing down on Maynard's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maynard is fighting to maintain full guard but Glass has managed to sneak the leg through.

Glass should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Glass tries for a takedown but Maynard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Glass does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Glass closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Maynard's guard.
Glass has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Maynard wants to sweep but no luck.
Glass wants to control from the top but Maynard keeps moving.
Glass stops Maynard from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maynard wants to control position but Glass is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Maynard here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
