And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Gantrain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Gantrain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie dives in and grabs Gantrain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gantrain pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gantrain.

Gracie drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Gantrain slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gantrain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gantrain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gantrain!

Gantrain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Gracie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gantrain is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Gantrain is looking to advance position but Gracie won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie is controlling Gantrain's trapped leg to prevent Gantrain from advancing to side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie wants to control for a moment but Gantrain uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Gantrain is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gantrain!

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gantrain is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gantrain and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie has an Americana. Gantrain didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
