The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pits uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nostrum.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pits! But no joy.
Nostrum dives in for a single leg takedown but Pits sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nostrum looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Despite the aggression on Pits's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Pits lands a jab to the nose.
Pits looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nostrum has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nostrum there as he acknowledges the shot.
Pits swings for the body but Nostrum moves out of range.

Nostrum feints and as Pits raises his hands in defense, Nostrum changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pennis jabs at Kramer's body.
Pennis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kramer slips a jab and a cross from Pennis.

Kramer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pennis was covering up waiting for the punch and Kramer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pennis seems keen to control Kramer's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pennis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kramer defends it easily.
Kramer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kramer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pennis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kramer has managed to get both his arms back between Pennis's legs - danger averted.

Pennis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kramer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
