The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kraken closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davis to the mat! Davis manages to get full guard.
Kraken wants to pass the guard but Davis is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sinistra has managed to clinch.

Byford breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Byford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sinistra lands a big uppercut and Byford crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Byford looks OK. Sinistra waves Byford back to his feet!

Byford is rocked!

It looks like Peter Byford has been cut.
Sinistra throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sinistra tries to bum rush Byford with a series of wild strikes but Byford uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sinistra drops Byford with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Byford looks back up at him and smiles so Sinistra waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Byford is still on wobbly legs! Can Sinistra finish him?

Byford closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sinistra is looking for a sweep.
Byford lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Byford seems to have recovered his senses.
Sinistra is looking to regain half guard here but Byford keeps moving and retains side control.
Sinistra pushes Byford away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Byford gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Sinistra parries the strikes from Byford easily there. Byford is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sinistra to escape.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

caturan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.

caturan parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable caturan to escape.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jones. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Jones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but caturan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vince Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Splitso moves in looking to clinch but Abbas pushes him off.
Splitso misses with a two punch combination.

Abbas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Splitso wants to stand but Abbas is controlling the position.
Splitso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abbas on the ground.

Abbas drops back looking for a leg! Splitso is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Splitso manages to kick Abbas off! Abbas jumps back into Splitso's guard.
Splitso is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Abbas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Abbas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Abbas won't allow Splitso to get back to his feet.
