The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordero misses with a double jab.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Fernandez.
Matsumoto tries to clinch there but Fernandez circles away.
Matsumoto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fernandez is fending him off so far but Matsumoto persists. Nope, Fernandez circles away and we're back to standing.
Matsumoto tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fernandez swivels and escapes.
Fernandez stalks Matsumoto and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Matsumoto's face. Matsumoto staggers backwards, shaken.
Fernandez lands a body shot.
A combination from Fernandez does no damage.
Fernandez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fernandez throws a series of punches but Matsumoto moves out of range.
A nice combination there by Fernandez.

Matsumoto is rocked!
Matsumoto wants to clinch up but Fernandez keeps it at a distance.
Fernandez jabs at Matsumoto's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Matsumoto fails with a takedown attempt.
Camerino Fernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hitoshi Matsumoto.
Matsumoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fernandez lands with a cross.
Matsumoto is still on wobbly legs! Can Fernandez finish him?
Fernandez connects with a stiff jab that staggers Matsumoto - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyler shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haperenu's guard.

Tyler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tyler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Haperenu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tyler manages to get to full guard.

Haperenu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Haperenu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haperenu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tyler looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Haperenu postures up in Tyler's guard and throws a big left but Tyler blocks it.

Haperenu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Haperenu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Haperenu throws a big right hand that misses.
Haperenu lands a couple of elbows.

Tyler is looking to sinch up a triangle. Haperenu throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tyler's body to avoid the submission. Tyler has instead reached around Haperenu's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tyler arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
