The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood wants to clinch but Sparta slips to the side

so Sparta counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hood wants to stand but Sparta is controlling the position.
Sparta controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hood is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hood is working an open guard so Sparta takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hood looks to throw the jab but Sparta is out of range.

Sparta gets a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hood is looking to break free of the clinch but Sparta has double underhooks.

Sparta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hood tries to close the distance and clinch but Sparta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hood misses with a series of wild punches.

Sparta lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sparta is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hood presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sparta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hood tries to bum rush Sparta with a series of wild strikes but Sparta uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sparta throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hoods head.

Sparta has clasped his hands together around Hood's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Hood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sparta on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Hood's face as Sparta controls the position.

Sparta has an Americana. Hood didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sparta is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sparta hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Damballah gets caught napping as Campos dives in and scores a takedown. Damballah manages to retain guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Campos working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Damballah wants to get back to his feet but Campos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Damballah scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Damballah takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Campos slips a jab and a cross from Damballah.
Damballah throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Campos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Damballah to the mat! Damballah manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zimbardo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zimbardo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bellwether couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Olson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Juricic counters with a nice uppercut.
Olson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Olson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Olson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Juricic stuns Olson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Olson pushes Juricic up against the cage in a clinch.

Juricic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Olson stalks Juricic and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Juricic's face. Juricic staggers backwards, shaken.

Juricic lands a nice hook to Olson's body. Olson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Will Olson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juricic jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Juricic closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Juricic is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Olson can't fight it off and eventually Juricic manages to take the fight to the floor. Olson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Camble might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Camble in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
