The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnett shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jakh as he jumps to the side.
Arnett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jakh.
Dudley Arnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jakh thuds his shin into the meat of Arnett's side.
Jakh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Arnett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Arnett looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Arnett tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Arnett has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Arnett counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Arnett.

Jakh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Arnett smiles and moves away.

No joy there for Gromadowski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Purcell drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gromadowski sprawls and moves away.

Gromadowski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Purcell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Purcell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gromadowski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gromadowski is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Purcell is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Purcell quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Purcell but it's paid off an Gromadowski is forced to tap! Nice work by Purcell.

Peterson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Peterson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Qissi is out of range.
Qissi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Peterson misses with a double jab.
Qissi steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Peterson.
Peterson feints a jab promting Qissi to slip. Peterson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Qissi slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
