The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akita moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Saukko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Akita shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Akita stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saukko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Akita pushes down on Saukko's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Saukko won't allow Akita to pass to mount.

Saukko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Saukko turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Akita off and cradles Saukko's limp body as Akita celebrates with his corner.
