The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutter throws a head kick that misses.

Do rushes Cutter and presses him up against the cage.

Do breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Do tries to clinch up.
Cutter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Do.
Do bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Do dodges the punch combination from Cutter.
Do fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Do closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Do lands in his opponent's guard.
Cutter being controlled here, momentarily.
Do pushes down on Cutter's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Do throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Do trying to control the pace.
Do wants to pass to mount but Cutter is defending the position.
Do content to control rather than advance.
Cutter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cutter tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Do moves into full mount! Cutter won't be happy about that!
Do controlling his opponent.

Cutter tries to hold on but Do pushes him away.
Do controlling the position easily from mount.
Do is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Do content just to control the position here.

BOOM! Do connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Do controlling from the full mount.
Do breaks from Cutter's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Do controlling the pace for now.
Do connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Do dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Do has closed the distance and engaged Cutter in a clinch.

Do pulls guard successfully.
Cutter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cutter wanted to stand there but Do had control of the position.
Cutter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Do on the ground.
Do is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Do passes to side control.
Cutter taking punishment in the form of punches.
A lull in the action here as Do stalls from top position.
Do lands a few punches from side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cutter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Do.

Do keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cutter wants to clinch but Do slips to the side

and Do counters with a shoot takedown. Cutter fights it but they end up in guard.
Do controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Do is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cutter is working an open guard so Do takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jarred Cutter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Do moves into the clinch successfully.
Cutter being controlled against the cage.
Do tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cutter avoids it.

Do pulls Cutter into guard.
Do has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Do is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Do stands and throws Cutter's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Do happy to just control the position for now.

Cutter wants to get back to his feet but Do is dominant here and he's now got Cutter's back!
Do lands shots from the back.
Do lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

Do is working for a rear naked choke. Cutter is not defending it well and Do has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Cutter refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Cutter's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams tries to clinch there but Zeeky circles away.
Adams blocks a head kick by Zeeky.
Adams could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Zeeky fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Adams sprawls well initially but Zeeky persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zeeky lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like Brian Adams has been cut.
Adams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Adams tries to get out of the position.
Zeeky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Adams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brian Adams's cut is getting worse.
Zeeky missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Zeeky is nestled in close to Adams, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

McTaggert is looking for a sweep. dela Calzada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

McTaggert tries to get to full guard but dela Calzada has control of the leg.

dela Calzada seems to be working for a kimura but McTaggert defends the submission attempt.

Kimura closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Angle to the mat! Angle manages to get full guard.

Kimura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Angle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Angle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Angle!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gunma closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gunma tries to pass to full mount but Burnett defends it.
Gunma wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burnett keeps working.

Gunma maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Burnett could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gunma has cracked it and Burnett is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gunma!
