The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sub tries to clinch there but Umbu circles away.

It looks like Wil Sub has been cut.
Sub uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Umbu.
Umbu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Umbu misses with a series of wild punches.
Sub throws a half hearted mid kick.
Nice uppercut there from Umbu.
Jab, jab by Umbu - just one landing.

Sub forces Umbu back against the cage and clinches.
Umbu is looking to break free of the clinch but Sub has double underhooks.

Umbu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Sub takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Sub shoots in for a double leg but Umbu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sub is breathing heavily.

Umbu tries to keep at a distance but Sub has taken the fight into the clinch.
Umbu throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Subs head.
Sub is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Umbu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sub changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Umbu tries to avoid it but Sub manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Umbu to the ground. Umbu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Umbu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sub at a distance.
Umbu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Umbu connects with a nice looking jab.
Sub takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Umbu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sub stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Umbu lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Umbu.
Umbu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dadou Umbu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sub is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Umbu.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Umbu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Umbu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sub had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Sub walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Umbu cracks Sub with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sub. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Sub tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Umbu paws at him with a jab and circles away.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Umbu! But no joy.

Sub tries a head kick but it misses.
Umbu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sub backs up against the cage.

Umbu wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Umbu scores with a hook to the body. Sub takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sub takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Umbu scores with a jab. Sub acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Sub drops his hands momentarily and Umbu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sub wants to clinch up but Umbu keeps it at a distance.
Sub on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sub's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Umbu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sub scrambles back to his feet.

Dadou Umbu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Umbu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Umbu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sub circles away quickly and effectively.

Sub has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Umbu after a bit of a struggle.

A punch lands to the side of Benson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lang connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Benson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lang swivels and escapes.
Benson needs to keep his hands up - Lang had a free shot at his head there.

Lang throws an overhand right that drops Benson like a sack of potatoes! Lang dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ferg went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll shoots for a takedown but Holmes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Holmes is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Roll throws a head kick that misses.
Roll looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holmes is fending him off so far but Roll persists. Nope, Holmes circles away and we're back to standing.

Roll drives through with a takedown into Holmes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rock Roll.
