Khalafa instigates a clinch.
Khalafa makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Melegrito tries to stall but Khalafa uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

No luck for Davit with that takedown attempt.
Davit's coach down at Harambe Remembrance Hall was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Davit's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nelson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Nelson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davit.
No luck for Davit with that takedown attempt.
Duke Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davit Davit.
Nelson thuds his right hand into Davit's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nelson throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Davit Davit has been cut.
Nelson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nelson clobbers Davit with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nelson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nelson throws out a powerful jab.
Nelson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Davit takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That has opened up Davit Davit's cut even more.
Davit has a takedown stuffed.

Nelson cracks Davit with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nelson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Davit to stand back up!

Davit is rocked!
Nelson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A shot to the liver by Nelson. Beautiful body shot.
Davit darts in looking for a takedown but Nelson gets double underhooks and turns Davit into the cage.

Nelson drops Davit with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Davit looks back up at him and smiles so Nelson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Davit is still on wobbly legs! Can Nelson finish him?
Davit switches off momentarily and Nelson cracks him with a monster right hand! Davit topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Nelson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Nelson!

Schmo tests Bunks's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Jami Bunks has been cut.
Bunks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Schmo clinches with his opponent.
Bunks wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bunks prevents a body shot from Schmo.
Schmo can't find room to land a body shot as Bunks controls the action.
Schmo cracks Bunks with a nice body shot.
Schmo scores with a shot to the side of Bunks's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bunks is looking to take this one to the mat.
Bunks is trying to drag Schmo to the mat but Schmo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Schmo cracks Bunks with a nice body shot.

Bunks blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bunks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Schmo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jami Bunks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Schmo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bunks goes for a double leg but Schmo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schmo continues to drive forward.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Schmo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Schmo tests Bunks's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Schmo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bunks quickly recovers to half guard.
Schmo throwing shots but Bunks is blocking nicely.
Schmo drops an elbow to the side of Bunks's head.
Bunks won't allow Schmo to pass to mount.
Schmo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bunks's head.
Schmo is nestled in close to Bunks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Schmo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bunks avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Schmo.
Schmo is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bunks is hurt! He's hurt bad - Schmo fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bunks from any more punishment! Congratulations to Schmo! Great finish!

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Rodrigues rushes Nobrainer and presses him up against the cage.
Nobrainer misses with a hook from the clinch.

Nobrainer seems to have recovered his senses.
Rodrigues softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Rodrigues works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Rodrigues lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nobrainer backwards.
Rodrigues digs a right hand underneath Nobrainer's ribcage. Nobrainer let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Rodrigues pushes Nobrainer against the cage. Rodrigues is working some dirty boxing. Rodrigues pushes off with a quick right hook! Nobrainer goes down! Nobrainer tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Rodrigues moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Blaker connects with a single shot there.

Kita rushes Blaker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kita pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Kita 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Blaker drops his hands momentarily and Kita takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kita throws out a loose jab but Blaker uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kita misses with a wild body shot.
Kita throws a body punch but Blaker moves out of range.

Kita shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kita was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blaker tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kita presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Blaker wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kita.
Blaker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kita has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A nice elbow there by Kita.

Kita is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Blaker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Blaker is looking to get to half guard.
Blaker felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Blaker manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Kita missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Kita seems to be looking for submissions.
Kita definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blaker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kita.
Blaker tries to roll over but Kita keeps him under control.

Blaker actively working from the bottom here.
Kita prevents Blaker from improving his position.
Kita looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Blaker is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Blaker manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kita is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blaker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kita defends well.

Blaker has his foot on Kita's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kita works his way back into a safe position though.
Kita throwing strikes from guard but Blaker blocks nicely.

Blaker has his feet on Kita's thighs here. He's pushed Kita off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kita screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Von Erich throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
