And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chantulio Leddy!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leddy closes the distance and clinches.
Leddy scores a nice knee to the body.
Nice elbow from Leddy.

It looks like Robert Root has been cut.
Leddy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Leddy lands an elbow inside that Root shrugs off.
Leddy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Leddy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Root is breathing heavily.
Leddy lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Leddy lands a damaging elbow.

Robert Root's cut is getting worse.
Leddy throws 2 knees - Root can't escape Leddy's clinch. As Root tries to escape again Leddy whips his head left to meet with another knee! That's knocked out Root's gum shield and as Root falls to the floor, the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Chantulio Leddy!
Chantulio Leddy very nearly forgot to thank Hellraiser FightGear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rostam Xerxes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Zouma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zouma has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Rostam Xerxes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Taylor Zouma's chin.

Zouma loses concentration momentarily and Xerxes pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Zouma crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Xerxes finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rostam Xerxes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saltsage closes the distance and clinches.
Saltsage lands with a light punch inside.
Saltsage lands a body punch.
Shermann goes for a takedown attempt but Saltsage pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Saltsage seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Shermann throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Saltsage tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shermann is in Saltsage's guard.
Shermann cracks Saltsage with a solid left hand.
Saltsage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shermann is working Saltsage over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Saltsage throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Saltsage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shermann is one step ahead there.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Shermann has eaten all the pies!
Shermann passes Saltsage's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Saltsage wants to improve his position but Shermann is controlling well.
Saltsage is working hard here to advance position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shermann with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Saltsage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Saltsage tries to get out of the position.

Shermann seems to be working for a kimura but Saltsage defends the submission attempt.
Saltsage trying to hold on to Shermann's head to control him but Shermann postures up.

Shermann stands up and beckons Saltsage to join him on the feet.
Saltsage lands a body shot.

Shermann tries to sprawl but Saltsage drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Shermann manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Shermann shoots in for a takedown but Saltsage shows good takedown defense.
A shot to the liver by Saltsage. Beautiful body shot.
Shermann looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saltsage lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Saltsage sends Shermann crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Saltsage is motioning to the referee to let Shermann up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Harold Shermann has been cut.

Euro tries for a takedown but Man circles away easily
and Man counters with a nice uppercut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Euro.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Euro creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Man sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Man tries to improve position but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Euro tries to move into full mount but can't pass Man's legs.
Euro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Man manages to get back to half guard.
Man is looking to improve his position.
Man moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Euro trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Man is pulling down on Euro's head to control his posture.

Euro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top!

Man slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Euro wants to stand but Man is controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Man lands with a shot to the body.
A head kick by Euro misses
and Man counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Panda Euro has been cut.
Euro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Man is looking to counter the offense by Euro and move into the clinch.
Man fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Euro looks winded!
Man throws a shot to the body.
Man seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Man darts in and clinches Euro up against the cage.
Man lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Euro backwards.
Man lands with a right to the head.
Man works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nice body punch from Man - that landed with a thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Man drops Euro onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Euro is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Euro is rocked!
Man lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Euro to his knees! Man keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
