The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jung throws a head kick that misses.
Angus Jung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Vila.
Vila throws a series of punches but Jung moves out of range.
Jung shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
It looked like Vila was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Vila ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jung misses the jab.
Vila is looking for a counter combo.
Jung throws a push kick but Vila slaps the foot to one side.
Jung throws a nice head kick!
Vila will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jung wants to counter with a clinch but Vila pushes him away.

and Vila counters with a left and a right that stings Jung.

Oswald has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hope Jr is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Oswald smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Oswald plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Hope Jr to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Hope Jr just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ward has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

King closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ward's guard.

Ward really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
King misses with the ground and pound.

King wants to pass the guard but Ward is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
King working over Ward with some ground and pound. Ward looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Ward pushes King off looking to stand but King dives back in and keeps control.
King thows a huge punch but Ward dodges it nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
King has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from King there as he acknowledges the shot.

Ward tries to sprawl but King drives through with a takedown into half guard.
King throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
King uses his free foot to push down on Ward's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ward.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Devon King will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

King's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ward connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! King scrambles back to his feet.

King was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ward avoids it really well and circles away.

King shoots in looking for a takedown. Ward tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ward manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

King tries to free his leg and advance position but Ward is retaining full guard.

King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ward rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ward waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract King.
A punch lands to the side of King 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ward misses the body punch
and King counters with a straight right hand.
King slips under a jab.

This has been an exciting period of action!
King lands with an overhand left.
King shoots in for a takedown but Ward shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
King drops his hands momentarily and Ward takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

King is rocked!
A jab from Ward finds it's way through King's defenses.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King.

King closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ward quickly recovers to half guard.

Aaron Ward comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

Hanagan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tropical has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Heart Cave (8 elites, 4 double-elites, 1 triple). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Tropical wants to get back to full guard.

Tropical is defending against the submission attempts here by Hanagan.
Tropical is looking for a sweep. Hanagan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hanagan trying to pass the guard but Tropical defending well.

Hanagan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hanagan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tropical is just riding it out for now. Hanagan eventually gives up the hold.
Hanagan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tropical tries to kick Hanagan off in order to stand up. Hanagan Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Hanagan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tropical is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hanagan yanks on the arm and Tropical is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hanagan.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Charley Hanagan!
Charley Hanagan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Rain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Patches.
Patches slips a jab and a cross from Rain.
Rain takes a swing at Patches's ribcage but misses.
Patches darts in looking for a takedown but Rain gets double underhooks and turns Patches into the cage.
Rain on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Patches tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patches somewhat.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sestius with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Knox to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Publius Sestius has been cut.
Knox connects with a solid leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Sestius blocks the low kick.
Knox has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crassus in the buildup to the fight.
Knox misses with the body kick
and Sestius finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Knox cracks Sestius with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sestius. Knox does a little dance to reset his feet.
Knox feints and then cracks Sestius's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sestius down.
An inside leg kick lands from Sestius.

Knox cracks Sestius with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sestius looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Knox finish him?

Sestius is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sestius walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Sestius limp body while Knox jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Steel throws a poor cross that misses

and Dahl holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dahl has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Dahl's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dahl.
Steel digs a good body shot into Dahl's ribs.
Good exchange - Dahl coming out on top.

It looks like Knuckles Of Steel has been cut.
Dahl with a nice cross.

Dahl feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Steel sprawling to the canvas! Steel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dahl finish him?!

Steel is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Dahl points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Steel wakes up just in time to hear Dahl thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Intiaani feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lawsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
