The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alderich throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Barnes was covering up waiting for the punch and Alderich finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Alderich's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Barnes wants to stand and escape but Alderich is having none of it.

Alderich is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Alderich drops back looking for a leg! Barnes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barnes manages to kick Alderich off! Alderich jumps back into Barnes's guard.

Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Banner.
Banner throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.

It looks like Rodrigo Silva has been cut.

Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Banner napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Silva is working to tighten his grip on Banner's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Banner has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Banner passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Bjorn Drezar struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Drezar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norbit tries to avoid it but Drezar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norbit to the ground. Norbit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jer Bear will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Bear throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! MacFarlane crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Vakarchuk gets to his feet and stands over Dren, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Dren felt that one! Vakarchuk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Dren from any more punishment!
