MacKenzie throws a leg kick that is checked

and Gano counters with a takedown into side control.

Gano got a little sloppy there for a moment and MacKenzie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gano has managed to get both his arms back between MacKenzie's legs - danger averted.

Gano seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but MacKenzie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

MacKenzie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gano's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gano's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

MacKenzie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gano has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
MacKenzie has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gano's body.

Chase avoids a punch combination nicely.

Shann rushes Chase and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Chase is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Shann piles on the pressure and Chase crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Centecion lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pickens gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Centecion.
Centecion throws a jab when Pickens was well out of range.
Centecion lands a jab-cross combination.
Pickens connects with a body shot.
Pickens scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Pickens lands a left and a right that send Centecion crashing to the mat, dazed. Pickens thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Centecion is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pickens knocks out Centecion with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Pickens before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Pickens picks up the big W with a huge KO!

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Locke hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
