Strikes now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Maul misses with a double jab.
Maul connects with a good right hand that stumbles Strikes. Strikes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Strikes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Strikes keeps Maul at a distance using the push kick.
Strikes tries to close the distance and clinch but Maul swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Maul lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Maul is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maul digs a good body shot into Strikes's ribs.
Maul scores with a hook to the body. Strikes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Maul cracks Strikes with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Strikes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Maul lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Strikes is still on wobbly legs! Can Maul finish him?

The cut above Carlos Strikes's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Maul lands with a right that hurts Strikes. Strikes looks to clinch but Maul throws a short knee that drops Strikes. This one is all over!

Paul Maul decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

Neil throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

A punch lands to the side of Neil 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Badger has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Badger comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Badger counters with a straight right hand.
Badger lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
No joy there for Neil, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
David Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Neil has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Badger.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Badger.
A big right from Badger misses.
Badger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Neil cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Neil misses with an uppercut

and Badger counters with a takedown into side control.
Neil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Badger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Badger has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Neil is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Badger yanks on the arm and Neil is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Badger.
