Mafusa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mafusa off to one side.
Mafusa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mafusa showed some decent athleticism there.

McGoose slips a straight right by Valentine.
Valentine takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McGoose slips under a jab.
Valentine throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGoose stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Valentine misses with a hook. McGoose ducked under it nicely.

McGoose needs to keep his hands up - Valentine had a free shot at his head there.

Valentine feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGoose sprawling to the canvas! McGoose rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Valentine finish him?!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
