Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joran Akerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinn Maya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sinn Maya struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Sinn Maya told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Akerman misses with a looping right.
Akerman throws a jab when Maya was well out of range.
Maya staying out of range there.
Maya slips a straight right by Akerman.
Maya shoots in for a takedown but Akerman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Maya has closed the distance and engaged Akerman in a clinch.

Indigo Myles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yoshida's coach down at The Island Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Yoshida's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hendo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Mike lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Drumpf falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mike dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McHough moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
McHough connects with a nice looking jab.
Bell with a poor takedown
and McHough counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dominique Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McHough tries to bum rush Bell with a series of wild strikes but Bell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McHough has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Area51 in the buildup to the fight.

and McHough cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ben McHough has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominique Bell.

Bell drops his hands momentarily and McHough takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

McHough is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
McHough might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McHough is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McHough is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bell couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Heavyweight moves forwards but Man connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Heavyweight keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Man bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Heavyweight's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wee Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heavyweight circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Man tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Heavyweight wins by KO!
