The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maher throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maher throws a head kick but Garafallo moves out of range.
Maher scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Maher fails to land with a series of punches.
Garafallo moves forwards but Maher connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Garafallo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Garafallo throws a shot from downtown. Maher moves away and avoids it.
Garafallo tries to move into range but Maher moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Garafallo slaps away a takedown attempt from Maher, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Garafallo rushes Maher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Garafallo wants to take the fight to the mat but Maher manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Garafallo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Maher or not.

Garafallo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Kangaroo's MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between CJ Saaim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Pits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saaim kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chelsea Dagger. Kyle Pits will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Saaim changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pits looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've been informed that Pits has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
